2. Copyright Notice
The copyright notice for the Small Claims Genie platform is:
© 2026 Small Claims Genie. All rights reserved.
The absence of a copyright symbol, copyright notice, watermark, footer, label, metadata tag, or other ownership statement on any particular page, file, output, document, image, video, feature, workflow, or other material does not waive Small Claims Genie's rights or place that material in the public domain.
3. Limited License to Users
Subject to compliance with Small Claims Genie's Terms and Conditions, users are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Small Claims Genie platform solely for their own personal, lawful, internal, and non-commercial purposes, unless Small Claims Genie expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
This limited license allows users to:
- access the platform through authorized means;
- use Small Claims Genie's features for personal legal-information, case-preparation, document-organization, and decision-support purposes;
- view platform content for their own personal use;
- download, save, print, or use documents, drafts, summaries, checklists, or outputs generated for their own matter, subject to these restrictions;
- submit their own information, documents, facts, and materials for platform processing.
This license does not transfer ownership of Small Claims Genie's software, content, platform structure, proprietary workflows, templates, prompts, systems, trade secrets, copyrighted materials, or other intellectual property. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Small Claims Genie.
4. User Ownership of User-Submitted Materials
Users retain ownership of documents, facts, evidence, statements, photographs, records, messages, filings, court papers, personal information, and other materials they upload, submit, enter, or provide to Small Claims Genie, except to the extent those materials are owned by another person or entity.
By submitting materials to Small Claims Genie, users grant Small Claims Genie a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, analyze, display, reproduce, format, summarize, and otherwise use those materials solely as reasonably necessary to provide the platform's services, operate user accounts, improve platform functionality, maintain security, comply with law, enforce agreements, and provide user-requested outputs.
Small Claims Genie does not claim ownership of a user's underlying facts, evidence, personal documents, or case-specific materials merely because the user uploads or submits them to the platform.
5. Platform Outputs and Generated Materials
Small Claims Genie may generate drafts, summaries, checklists, explanations, timelines, document structures, intake summaries, case-preparation materials, evidence summaries, form-support materials, educational guidance, or other outputs based on user input and platform functionality.
Users may use outputs generated for them by the platform for their own personal legal-information, case-preparation, educational, or internal purposes, subject to the Terms and Conditions and this Notice.
Users may not:
- resell, license, sublicense, publish, distribute, or commercialize Small Claims Genie-generated materials as a standalone product or service;
- use Small Claims Genie outputs to create, train, support, improve, benchmark, reverse engineer, or validate a competing product, legal technology tool, AI system, document-preparation platform, legal-information service, or automated workflow;
- remove Small Claims Genie notices, disclaimers, ownership statements, or usage restrictions from generated materials where such notices appear;
- represent Small Claims Genie-generated materials as independently authored legal advice, attorney work product, or proprietary content of another business or platform;
- mass-generate outputs for redistribution, publication, sale, or competitive use.
6. Prohibited Uses
Users and visitors may not, directly or indirectly, do any of the following without Small Claims Genie's prior written permission:
- copy, reproduce, duplicate, modify, adapt, translate, publish, display, perform, distribute, transmit, sell, rent, lease, license, sublicense, or otherwise exploit any part of the platform or its protected materials;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, extract, download, copy, cache, archive, index, or systematically collect any platform content, outputs, prompts, templates, workflows, pages, data, user interface elements, or other materials;
- use bots, spiders, crawlers, scrapers, browser automation, data-mining tools, AI agents, bulk-download tools, automated scripts, or similar technologies to access, copy, monitor, or extract platform materials;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decode, reconstruct, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, object code, software architecture, algorithms, prompts, model instructions, system logic, workflow design, database structure, or underlying ideas expressed in the platform;
- bypass, disable, interfere with, or circumvent access controls, rate limits, security features, copyright notices, watermarking, authentication systems, account restrictions, usage limits, or technical protections;
- create derivative works based on Small Claims Genie content, workflows, templates, prompts, designs, software, outputs, or platform structure;
- use Small Claims Genie materials to build, train, test, benchmark, validate, improve, market, sell, or support any competing or similar product, service, website, application, AI system, document-preparation tool, legal-information platform, legal workflow system, or automation system;

- remove, obscure, modify, or alter copyright notices, proprietary notices, disclaimers, trademarks, watermarks, metadata, attribution, or other rights-management information;

- use platform materials in a manner that infringes, misappropriates, or violates Small Claims Genie's copyright, trademark, trade secret, contractual, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
Any unauthorized use automatically terminates the limited license granted to the user and may result in suspension or termination of access, deletion of accounts, refusal of service, demand for removal, takedown notices, injunctive relief, damages, attorneys' fees where available, and any other remedies available under law or contract.
7. No Permission to Train AI Systems or Competing Technologies
Small Claims Genie does not grant permission for any person or entity to use Small Claims Genie content, platform outputs, templates, prompts, workflows, software, databases, screen designs, page copy, educational materials, or other protected materials to train, fine-tune, test, benchmark, validate, enhance, improve, or develop any artificial intelligence system, machine-learning model, large language model, legal automation system, document-generation system, chatbot, search system, or other technology, whether commercial or non-commercial.
This restriction applies whether the materials are accessed manually, automatically, through a user account, through public web pages, through screenshots, through generated outputs, through downloads, through scraping, or through any other means. Any such use requires Small Claims Genie's prior written permission.
8. Trade Secrets and Confidential Platform Materials
Certain aspects of Small Claims Genie may constitute confidential information, proprietary information, or trade secrets, including without limitation non-public software code, prompts, prompt chains, system instructions, internal workflows, data structures, evaluation criteria, ranking methods, legal-information frameworks, product strategy, business methods, technical architecture, product roadmaps, internal documentation, operating procedures, and security systems.
No user, visitor, competitor, contractor, or third party is authorized to access, copy, disclose, reverse engineer, reconstruct, publish, distribute, or use Small Claims Genie's trade secrets or confidential materials except as expressly authorized in writing. Access to the platform does not create any license to discover, disclose, or use Small Claims Genie's non-public systems, processes, or confidential information.
9. Trademarks, Branding, and Source Identifiers
The names Small Claims Genie, the Small Claims Genie logo, related product names, taglines, slogans, trade dress, designs, page layouts, icons, graphics, and other branding elements are owned by Small Claims Genie or its applicable rights holders and may be protected by trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, copyright, and other laws.
Users may not use Small Claims Genie's name, logo, branding, trademarks, trade dress, or confusingly similar marks without prior written permission. Nothing on the platform grants any license or right to use Small Claims Genie's trademarks, service marks, logos, business names, product names, trade dress, or brand identity.
10. Third-Party Materials
The platform may display, link to, reference, process, or incorporate third-party materials, including court forms, public legal resources, government materials, statutes, rules, case information, user-uploaded documents, licensed content, open-source software, or other third-party materials.
Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate terms, licenses, restrictions, or legal protections. Small Claims Genie does not claim ownership of third-party materials merely because they are referenced, processed, summarized, linked, displayed, or used within the platform.
11. Public Domain and Non-Protectable Materials
Nothing in this Notice is intended to claim copyright ownership over facts, ideas, procedures, systems, methods of operation, legal principles, statutes, court rules, government forms, public-domain materials, or other materials that are not protectable under applicable copyright law.
However, Small Claims Genie may claim protection in the original expression, selection, arrangement, organization, explanation, formatting, compilation, software implementation, workflow design, written guidance, commentary, and platform presentation of those materials to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Reservation of Rights Beyond Copyright
This Notice is intended to protect Small Claims Genie's rights under copyright law and, where applicable, under trademark law, trade secret law, contract law, unfair competition law, computer access laws, database protection principles, privacy law, publicity rights, and other applicable legal doctrines.
Some aspects of the platform may not be protected by copyright alone. Small Claims Genie therefore also relies on contractual restrictions, access controls, confidentiality obligations, trade secret protections, trademark rights, anti-circumvention principles, and other available legal protections. No failure or delay by Small Claims Genie in enforcing any right shall constitute a waiver of that right.
